Stepping Out on Faith — and Setting Boundaries While Doing So

For a long time, I’ve been someone who carried it all.

The responsibilities. The expectations. The emotional weight. The planning. The pivoting. The praying. The quiet moments where no one sees how much you’re holding together behind the scenes. I carried it because I had to, because I loved deeply, because I was driven, and because I believed that strength meant never letting anything drop.

But stepping into entrepreneurship — truly stepping out on faith — has taught me something different.

Faith does not mean carrying everything alone.
Faith does not mean burning yourself out in the name of ambition.
Faith does not mean saying “yes” to everything just to prove you’re capable.

Stepping out on faith, for me, has meant trusting that what is meant for me will find me — even when I slow down, set boundaries, or choose my peace. It has meant believing that God’s plan does not require me to be exhausted to be successful.

Entrepreneurship has a way of revealing your character. It tests your patience, your resilience, your confidence, and your heart. It humbles you when things don’t go as planned and stretches you when opportunities come faster than you expected. It requires discipline, courage, and — most importantly — trust.

Trust in yourself.
Trust in your vision.
Trust in God’s timing.

As I build Forest Street Co., I am reminded daily of what “For the Ones Who Carry It All” truly means. It’s not just about the physical things we carry — our bags, our laptops, our essentials. It’s about the emotional, mental, and spiritual loads we’ve been holding onto for years.

But here’s the shift: we can carry with intention now. We can carry with clarity. We can carry with boundaries.

I am learning that I don’t have to be everything to everyone to be enough. I don’t have to rush my process to prove my worth. I don’t have to sacrifice my peace in the name of productivity.

Stepping out on faith has not been easy, but it has been necessary. And I hope my journey inspires other women — other dreamers, other creators, other risk-takers — to trust themselves enough to do the same.

If you’re reading this and feeling called to take a leap, start that business, leave that job, or simply choose yourself more often — this is your sign.

Carry what matters.
Release what doesn’t.
Move in faith.
And build boldly.

Forest Street Co.
